In Georgia, a real estate closing is customarily conducted by a closing attorney. That is different from states where a title company closes the loan without an attorney. The attorney handles the deed, the title exam, and the settlement.
The attorney's fee is set by that firm and by the deal. It is a line on the Loan Estimate and the Closing Disclosure. We will not publish a 'typical Alpharetta attorney fee,' because we do not control it and it is not one number.
You can still choose to compare lenders. The closing attorney is not your lender. Ask early who the closing attorney will be so the title work starts with the contract, not the week of closing.
